M/s. Southern Electricity Supply Company of Orissa Ltd., At/Po. Courtpeta, Berhampur, Dist Ganjam (SOUTHCO, for short), the holder of The Orissa Distribution & Retail Supply Licence, 1999 (No.2/99) had submitted the retail tariff application on 19.09.2000. Subsequently the licensee had made an application before the Commission for withdrawal of the aforesaid application and submitted a fresh application on 21.10.2000 u/s 26 of the Orissa Electricity Reform Act, 1995 (The Reform Act, 1995, for short) in respect of tariff for retail supply of electricity for different categories of consumers. Commission allowed the Licensee's prayer for withdrawal of the application dt.19.09.2000 and scrutinised the fresh application dt.21.10.2000.
